Haldimand is Caledonia and Dunnville: the Grand River running to Lake Erie. Manufacturing, farming, and skilled trades built this region, and honest planning respects that. I help Haldimand families protect what matters and plan with confidence, in plain English.
Serving Haldimand and Haldimand and Norfolk counties by phone and video.
Haldimand runs along the Grand River from Caledonia down to Dunnville and the Lake Erie shore, a county of small towns, farm concessions, and river crossings. Manufacturing, farming, and the skilled trades built this county, and a lot of households still earn their living with their hands, on shifts, or on the land. Growth from the Hamilton side is arriving in Caledonia especially, which means long-time local families and brand-new subdivisions now share the same main streets.
That mix shapes the money questions. Trades and manufacturing incomes can be strong and still swing with overtime and plant schedules, so coverage and savings work best when they are built on the dependable core of a paycheque, not its best month. Farm families think in seasons and in generations at the same time, and a plan has to respect both. For families raising a child with a disability, the Disability Tax Credit and the RDSP are federal programs with the same rules here as anywhere in Canada, and they are worth real money: up to $90,000 in grants and bonds inside an RDSP.
I am based in Carleton Place, in the Ottawa Valley, and I serve Haldimand by phone and video. There is no Dunnville or Caledonia office, and there never needs to be: we meet, plan, sign, and follow up digitally, on a schedule that works around shifts. You get the education first, the same free conversations, and the same person answering the phone as every family I serve. Distance changes the drive, and there is not one.
A broker works for you, not for one insurance company. That means choice across insurers, advice shaped around your life instead of a product shelf, and someone in your corner at claim time, when it matters most. Read the full broker vs agent breakdown.
Step one: book a free conversation below. Thirty minutes, zero pressure. Step two: we talk through your situation in plain English until you actually understand your options. Step three: you decide, with facts instead of salesmanship.
Conversations happen by phone or video, which is how I serve families across Ontario from my home base in Carleton Place. Shift work makes that a feature, not a compromise: we book around your rotation, including evenings, and everything from our first talk to signed documents happens without anyone driving anywhere.
Yes, if it is built honestly. We size protection and savings to the income you can count on in a slow month, then decide together what extra goes to work in good months. A plan built on your best paycheque fails in your worst one, and I would rather build you one that holds.
Start with the two free checkers on this site. The Disability Tax Credit checker asks 7 quick questions about how the CRA looks at eligibility, and the RDSP checker asks 4 quick questions about readiness, grants, and bonds. Both programs are federal, so the rules here are the same as anywhere in Canada, and your results give us a clear place to start talking.

Nothing. Bring your questions and an open mind. If it helps, jot down what keeps you up at night about money, we will start there.
