The complete practice: insurance, investing, and planning for every Canadian family.

Oshawa is Durham's engine: auto workers, healthcare professionals, and Toronto commuters building real lives in a growing region. Manufacturing roots, modern ambitions, and families who want honest answers about money. I work with Oshawa and Durham families virtually: education first, zero pressure.
Serving Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax, Pickering, and Durham Region by phone and video.
Oshawa will always be an auto city: General Motors built its Canadian home here, and generations of families have measured their lives by plant shifts and the pride of building what the country drives. The city around that heritage has diversified: Ontario Tech University and Durham College bring thousands of students and staff, Lakeridge Health's Oshawa hospital serves as the regional centre for Durham, and the GO station at the end of the Lakeshore East line ties the whole city to Toronto's job market. North Oshawa's subdivisions fill with young families doing the Durham math: more house, more yard, a commute they can live with.
The money questions follow the mix. Auto and manufacturing families ask about topping up union benefits honestly, and about planning for an industry that has taught everyone here what a layoff notice looks like. Commuter families ask about protection sized to the mortgage and the long drive, and what one income pausing would do to the plan. Healthcare workers ask about the gap between hospital group coverage and real life. And students becoming professionals ask how to start: first TFSA, first insurance, first plan that is theirs rather than their parents'.
Durham families raising a child with a disability get the same federal programs as everywhere in Canada, the Disability Tax Credit and the RDSP, and the same chronic problem: nobody hands parents the guide. I am that guide, by phone and video, in plain English, with the first conversation free and the patience to do it properly.
A broker works for you, not for one insurance company. That means choice across insurers, advice shaped around your life instead of a product shelf, and someone in your corner at claim time, when it matters most. Read the full broker vs agent breakdown.
Step one: book a free conversation below. Thirty minutes, zero pressure. Step two: we talk through your situation in plain English until you actually understand your options. Step three: you decide, with facts instead of salesmanship.
In the fine print: what disability coverage actually pays and for how long, what happens to every benefit the day you retire or the job ends, and whether your spouse's income is protected at all. Bring your benefits booklet to a free first conversation and we will read the real numbers together instead of guessing from the summary page.
It sharpens them. Long commutes mean the household depends on your ability to get up and earn every day, and a mortgage sized to two incomes has no patience for a long disability. Coverage sized to the real household, not a bank's checkbox, is what we build. The planning itself happens by phone or video, so at least that part adds no commute.
Start with the free RDSP checker for readiness and grants, and the Disability Tax Credit checker for the credit that unlocks the plan. Durham families are often surprised how much government money an early start captures, including catch-up for years already passed. Then we talk it through, free, at your kitchen table by video.
Most conversations happen by phone or video, which is how I serve families across Canada. In-person meetings can be arranged when I am in the area.
Yes. You don't have to figure this out alone. I'm here to help you through every step.
Nothing. Bring your questions and an open mind. If it helps, jot down what keeps you up at night about money, we will start there.
