A financial professional for Carleton Place.

Life insurance, disability finance, and investing for Carleton Place families. Education first, every conversation free.

Carleton Place is home. This is where I am from: Mississippi River mornings, small-town values, and neighbours who look after each other. If you are from the Valley, you already know how I work: straight talk, no pressure, and I will treat your family's money like it is my own family's. Ottawa Valley families get the hometown version of everything I do, which is the best version.

Proudly serving Carleton Place, Almonte, Mississippi Mills, Perth, Smiths Falls, and the Ottawa Valley. Neighbours first, always.

This one is home, so let me tell you how it really works here

Carleton Place is where I live and where this practice is based: a Mississippi River town where the lake is at the end of the street, the old mill heritage sits in the stone downtown, the local hospital looks after the community, and growth keeps arriving from the direction of Kanata as Ottawa Valley families choose river mornings over city commutes. My neighbours here are public servants and tradespeople, nurses and teachers, small business owners on Bridge Street, farmers out in Beckwith and Drummond North Elmsley, and retirees who have been on the same streets for sixty years. My community work is here too, including U.N.I.T.E., the inclusion community I founded in town, which is where many local families first met me.

Because this is home, the service here is the full hometown version. Phone and video still do most of the work, because that is what busy families prefer, but local conversations can happen in person in a way they simply cannot from three hours away, and when a Carleton Place family needs me at claim time or in a hard week, I am not a voice from a distant city. I am the person from here, and I will treat your family's money with the same care I give my own. That is not a slogan. It is the deal, and the town would hear about it if it were not true.

The planning itself is the same education first work I do across Ontario: protection, disability finance with the DTC and RDSP done properly, investing, and estate basics, explained in plain English with zero pressure. Valley families can smell a sales pitch through a phone line, and they have never had to with me. If you are from Carleton Place, Almonte, Perth, Smiths Falls, or anywhere in the Valley and we have not met yet, the kettle version of an introduction is a free conversation whenever you are ready.

Home base: this is where the practice actually lives

Carleton Place is not a market I expanded into. It is home, and The Inclusion Strategist is built here: this is the town I live in, the base I run the practice from, and the community that shaped how I work. When I say I serve all of Ontario by phone and video, this is the desk those calls start from, on the Mississippi River in the Ottawa Valley. There is no storefront and no office address to publish, because the practice is home-based by design, and Carleton Place families get exactly what that design promises: a neighbour who answers, not a call centre.

This is also where U.N.I.T.E. lives. I founded U.N.I.T.E., a 100 percent volunteer community here in Carleton Place that brings people of all abilities together through exercise, and it is the reason disability finance is not an abstract specialty for me. The families I plan for are the families I see at U.N.I.T.E. sessions, at the rink, and on Main Street. Read about U.N.I.T.E. and what it does here.

The service proof is simple and local. My first clients were Valley families: Carleton Place, Almonte, Mississippi Mills, Perth, and Smiths Falls, people who could check my reputation at the arena before they ever checked my website. Reviews on our Google profile come from this same community, and almost every new family I meet here arrives because a neighbour sent them. If you are from the Valley, that is the standard your plan gets held to. Start with the free checkers on this site, or book a free conversation and talk to the hometown version of this practice.

Why work with a broker in Carleton Place?

A broker works for you, not for one insurance company. That means choice across insurers, advice shaped around your life instead of a product shelf, and someone in your corner at claim time, when it matters most. Read the full broker vs agent breakdown.

Carleton Place questions I hear most

Are you actually located here, or is this page just marketing?

Actually here. I live in Carleton Place and this practice is home based, which means there is no storefront office to drop into, and I will never pretend there is. We meet by phone or video most of the time, in person locally when it helps, and you will run into me around town living the same life I plan alongside. That accountability is the point.

We know you through U.N.I.T.E. Is it awkward to also talk money?

Not at all, and it happens constantly. Community first is how this practice grew: families met me through soccer and community events, then asked what I actually do. The money conversations stay professional, private, and pressure free, and nothing from community life is ever used in them. Half this town keeps those worlds comfortably side by side, and so will we.

What do Valley families usually start with?

Whatever is keeping them up at night: protection for a young family, an RDSP done right for a child, a retirement that needs assembling. If disability finance is in the picture, the free DTC checker and RDSP checker are the fastest start, and they were built for exactly our neighbours. Then we talk, free, like people from the same town.

Common questions

Is the first conversation really free?

Yes. You don't have to figure this out alone. I'm here to help you through every step.

What should I prepare before we talk?

Nothing. Bring your questions and an open mind. If it helps, jot down what keeps you up at night about money, we will start there.
