St. Catharines is the Garden City: Brock University's young professionals, GM's manufacturing legacy, and the edge of Niagara wine country. Students becoming earners, families buying first homes, and retirees who chose the gentle side of the escarpment. I serve St. Catharines families virtually.
Serving St. Catharines and the Niagara Region by phone and video.
St. Catharines is the Niagara Peninsula's biggest city and its engine room: Brock University on the escarpment, the canal and its locks climbing through the east end, a hospital that serves the whole region, and Port Dalhousie sunsets for balance. The GM legacy still echoes in the trades community, while healthcare, education, and the wine and tourism economy around the city employ more people every year. It is a city of students becoming earners, workers with deep roots, and retirees who picked the mildest microclimate in Ontario on purpose and will tell you so in February.
The money questions split by life stage in a way I find honest and refreshing. Brock graduates ask how to start: first TFSA, first real insurance conversation, student debt in the rear view. Working families ask about topping up benefits and protecting a mortgage in a city where houses remained attainable longer than in the GTA. Retirees ask about drawing income efficiently and leaving things tidy. Underneath all of it, as the region's hospital and university centre, St. Catharines families meet the disability system early and often, as staff, as patients, and as parents.
That last group is this practice's centre. The Disability Tax Credit and the RDSP are federal, they apply in St. Catharines in full, and the parents I meet at Brock events and hospital corridors have almost never been walked through them properly. I do that walk, free, by phone and video, and I count it the most worthwhile work I do.
A broker works for you, not for one insurance company. That means choice across insurers, advice shaped around your life instead of a product shelf, and someone in your corner at claim time, when it matters most. Read the full broker vs agent breakdown.

Smaller than the internet suggests. Protect your income cheaply while you are young and healthy, build a modest emergency cushion, open the right first account for your next goal, and ignore everything else until those are done. We map it in one free conversation, in plain English, sized to a starting salary rather than an influencer's income.
The federal pieces, the Disability Tax Credit and the RDSP, are identical here. Provincial and hospital programs layer on top, and families often mix them up. The checkers on this site handle the federal side cleanly: DTC checker first, then the RDSP checker. For the rest, a free conversation sorts what applies to your family.
The bridge years before pensions and government benefits fully start, the insurance that may have finished its job, and the order you draw income from your accounts, which quietly decides a lot of your tax bill. St. Catharines retirees tend to plan carefully, and a careful review before the last paycheque is worth real money. It costs nothing to have the conversation.
Most conversations happen by phone or video, which is how I serve families across Canada. In-person meetings can be arranged when I am in the area.
Yes. You don't have to figure this out alone. I'm here to help you through every step.
Nothing. Bring your questions and an open mind. If it helps, jot down what keeps you up at night about money, we will start there.
