What you will learn
- How the RDSP works, and how the Disability Tax Credit unlocks it.
- The grant and bond money a family may qualify for, up to the program maximums, including how catching up on missed years works.
- The exact steps to open a plan, so you leave knowing what happens first, second and third.
This session is for parents, grandparents, and adults with a disability who want the RDSP explained in plain language, with time to ask questions. No personal advice is given in the session itself. Questions about your own family belong in a one to one conversation, and Sean will explain how to book one at the end of the night.
The RDSP Starter Checklist
Ten plain steps from first questions to money in the plan. Confirm the Disability Tax Credit, choose where to open the RDSP, make a first contribution, and claim the grants and bonds. Read it on the RDSP Starter Checklist page, download the PDF, or have a copy emailed. Your choice.
Questions about the session
What if I cannot make it live?
Register anyway. The session is recorded, and the replay is sent to every registrant the next day. It stays available for 7 days.
Do I need Disability Tax Credit approval before the session?
No. The session explains how the DTC and the RDSP fit together, and which step comes first for your family. If you want a head start, the DTC checker takes about two minutes.
Will my personal situation be discussed?
No. The session teaches the general rules and steps only, and questions are answered in general terms. Personal situations belong in a private conversation, never in a group session.
