Markham runs on ambition: tech workers from the IBM and AMD campuses, young professional families, and some of the most diverse neighbourhoods in the country. Stock options, first homes, and big questions about what to do with real money. I help Markham families turn strong incomes into real plans, in plain English.
Serving Markham and the York Region by phone and video.
Markham sits at the centre of York Region's tech economy, with corporate campuses along the 404 corridor, engineering and finance jobs throughout the city, and neighbourhoods like Unionville and Cornell mixing heritage main streets with brand new subdivisions. It is one of the most diverse cities in Canada, and its households reflect that: professionals building careers, parents investing heavily in their kids' futures, and grandparents whose presence in the home is part of the family's strength. Ambition is the local currency, and most money conversations here start from a position of momentum.
Momentum still needs structure. Stock compensation and bonuses complicate tax planning. Two professional incomes can quietly push a household into brackets where the order of accounts matters: TFSA, RRSP, RESP, and corporate accounts for the many Markham families who run a business or a professional practice on the side. Multigenerational homes raise their own questions about ownership, insurance, and what happens to the house across generations. And in a city where education spending is a family priority, the RESP conversation deserves more rigour than it usually gets, especially for a child who may not follow the standard university path.
That last point matters here. Markham families raising a child with a disability often hold two plans at once: an RESP built on hope and an RDSP they have barely heard of. The two can work together, and the Disability Tax Credit is the key that unlocks the disability side. I serve Markham by phone and video, in plain English, with the patience these conversations deserve, and the first one is always free.
A broker works for you, not for one insurance company. That means choice across insurers, advice shaped around your life instead of a product shelf, and someone in your corner at claim time, when it matters most. Read the full broker vs agent breakdown.

Because income solves cash flow, not structure. Most high-income households accumulated accounts and policies one decision at a time, and nobody assembled them. A first conversation with me is exactly that assembly: what you hold, what each piece does, what is duplicated, and what is missing. It is free, and it usually brings a lot of clarity fast.
Yes, and for many families they should. The RESP saves for education, the RDSP builds long-term security with government grants and bonds, and there are rules for moving money between them when plans change. Run the RDSP checker for the disability side and the Disability Tax Credit checker for eligibility, and we will build the combination that fits your child.
Yes. Corporate accounts, holding companies, and insurance inside a corporation are regular conversations in Markham, alongside the family planning underneath them. We keep the two sides coordinated, because a corporate plan that ignores the family, or a family plan that ignores the corporation, both leave money on the table.
Most conversations happen by phone or video, which is how I serve families across Canada. In-person meetings can be arranged when I am in the area.
Yes. You don't have to figure this out alone. I'm here to help you through every step.
Nothing. Bring your questions and an open mind. If it helps, jot down what keeps you up at night about money, we will start there.
