Caledon is the GTA's country side: horse farms, estates, and self-employed tradespeople and business owners in Bolton and Caledon Village. Rural property, irregular income, and planning that has to fit real life. I help Caledon families and business owners build plans as solid as the land they are on.
Serving Caledon and the Peel Region by phone and video.
Caledon is the GTA's green lung and it guards the title: Bolton as its working town, Caledon East and Palgrave and Belfountain as its villages, and between them a protected landscape of escarpment, Credit and Humber river valleys, horse farms, and estates behind long driveways. The equestrian life here is serious, crowned by the Caledon Equestrian Park that hosted the Pan Am Games, and so is the self-employment: tradespeople, contractors, consultants, and business owners who work across Peel and Toronto but come home to dark skies. It is a municipality of big properties and small communities, where the neighbours are far and close at the same time.
Rural property changes the financial questions. Incomes are often self-employed and project based, which makes disability coverage the load bearing wall of the whole plan, because there is no employer behind the paycheque. Properties carry their own planning weight: land, buildings, sometimes farm status, and estates where the main asset cannot be split with a signature. Business owners ask about succession and about protecting the company that the family's whole life is mortgaged against. Parents in Bolton's subdivisions ask the young family questions with a Caledon twist: same mortgages and daycare, plus a commute down the 410 that the plan politely pretends is shorter than it is.
For Caledon families raising a child with a disability, services are a drive in every direction, and good financial guidance should not be one more drive. The DTC and RDSP are federal and arrive by phone and video just fine. That is how I serve Caledon, from Carleton Place, another community that understands rural property and self-reliant people. First conversations are free.
A broker works for you, not for one insurance company. That means choice across insurers, advice shaped around your life instead of a product shelf, and someone in your corner at claim time, when it matters most. Read the full broker vs agent breakdown.
Step one: book a free conversation below. Thirty minutes, zero pressure. Step two: we talk through your situation in plain English until you actually understand your options. Step three: you decide, with facts instead of salesmanship.
Your own disability coverage, sized honestly to what the household and the business need from you monthly. When the owner stops, a contracting income stops with them, and employees, loans, and family all feel it at once. We shop it across insurers, because physical work is priced very differently from one company to the next, and we explain the differences in plain English.
Slowly and deliberately, which is the only way land allows. Wills that say clearly who gets what, tax at death estimated honestly instead of discovered by your children, and sometimes insurance arranged to give the estate options besides selling. Caledon families with farms, horses, and acreage deserve this conversation early, at the kitchen table, free to start.
Perfectly well. The Disability Tax Credit checker and the RDSP checker are federal programs that pay no attention to postal codes. Run them from home, then book the free conversation. Rural families miss grants and bonds at the same rate as city families, and for the same reason: nobody local brought them up. Consider them brought up.
Most conversations happen by phone or video, which is how I serve families across Canada. In-person meetings can be arranged when I am in the area.

Nothing. Bring your questions and an open mind. If it helps, jot down what keeps you up at night about money, we will start there.
